Who we are
Crafting Comfort for Your Car, and Your Home
At the heart of Polokwane, on the corner of 37 Gypsum Street and 61 Nelson Mandela Avenue, lies a workshop where care meets craft. This is Modern Homes and Cars (MHC), not a franchise, not a call centre, but a local, hands-on business built on trust, skill, and quiet pride.
We started with a simple belief: the spaces you spend your life in, whether behind the wheel or on your living room couch, should feel intentional, comfortable, and well-made. Too often, people settle for worn interiors, flimsy covers, or impersonal service. We set out to change that.
MHC isn’t just a name, it’s a promise. “We redefine” means we don’t accept “good enough.” It means we measure twice, cut once, and treat every project like it’s for our own family. Our clients aren’t customers; they’re neighbours, friends, and returning faces who know they’ll get honest advice, real materials, and work that lasts.
We don’t advertise loudly. We let our stitching speak, in the smooth grain of genuine leather, the clean lines of a custom fit, and the smile when someone sees their old couch or car look brand new again.
This is more than upholstery. This is care, made visible.
